The Conundrum of Pain

An exposure to myriad emotions make us emphatic in our expressions. Emotions guides the heart and intelligence guides the brain. How often have we mixed these two things? I am guilty of letting the emotions take reign of my head and calculating my love to the ones who deserved an infinity.

If you believe you have never been victim to such a chaos, I urge you to stop reading now. I urge you rather to go and be a part of this vital misery, for then you shall feel the conundrum of pain.

There are darkness that scares you, the horrific ones. A child's cold body on his mother's lap. An octogenarian lighting the pyre of his only daughter. The slip of the wheel of a speeding husband and a new father.

The darkness of death, creates a void.The darkness of neglect creates gloom, the darkness of hate creates fury, the darkness of love creates poets.

It's a matter of mystery I believe, the pain I face in the darkness makes me numb yet I feel the tangential pull in every fiber of my being.

The pain exposes and conceals you. It exposes your raw nature, makes us go erratic or sometimes calms our noise of reason. The conundrum is such that, we may travel the path of glory or be a subject of misery.

In the face of such retaliation by our own mind and spirit, the power of choice sets us free from the claws of doom or binds us to it. In the face of adversity, our minds should be trained to chose the only option that heals our spirit and soul, one that rises above the abyss and takes us higher.

Emotions are an eternal part of our being, most of our decisions in life are knowingly or unknowingly guided by the spells of our heart. It is therefore of utmost importance that we regularly nourish ourselves with an encompassing sense of love. We should allow energies in our circle of companionship only when there is a mutual sense of growth and respect harboring between us.

Love liberates and lightens our soul. Love strengthens and guides. It is love that binds this world into a a colorful scene of happiness.

The purpose of me writing this today is to bring to your notice the awesome power of our choice. Our choice for Love or for darkness decides the many courses of our life. And what do we do when our love is for the dark? We yield the glory of love and let the darkness fade.

I hope you chose your path wisely, it is but choice that sets us apart.
